Its a number that allows many people to call at the same time.
How does a conference room work?
Every person that wishes to enter the call must dial the conference room number. Then enters the access PIN (if it has one) and enters the call.
How is it different form Skype or Zoom?
It does not require internet nor an app. you can dial and make the call form a landline phone or a cellphone.
What is the difference with a tripartite call?
Tripartite calls can only withstand 3 calling numbers at the same time. Conference rooms can have up to 100 calls at the same time.
On a tripartite call it depends it depends on the person that created the joint call. A conference room will still work no matter if any member of the party leaves or stays.
Does it have any security?
To avoid anyone to know the number of the conference room and enter it. You can add a 5 digit PIN number as a password. this will be required each time anyone wants to access the conference room.
